EM Strasbourg Business School > A business school in a university
EM Strasbourg Business School: a unique model conforming with international standards
On 1st January 2009, the EM Strasbourg Business School officially became the Business School of the
University of Strasbourg, France's largest university as a result of the merger between the March Bloch, Louis Pasteur and Robert Schuman universities.
As France's only business
grande école to be attached to a multi-disciplinary university and member of both the
Conférence des Grandes Ecoles and IAE Network (Institutes of Business Administration), the EM Strasbourg Business School epitomises the model for the future suggested by the Philip report, which advocates a merging of business schools and universities.
Located within a first-rate academic environment and of international renown, the School also benefits from the support of
E.M.Strasbourg-Partenaires, the
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Strasbourg and the Bas-Rhin département, the
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sud Alsace Mulhouse, the Municipality and Urban Community of Strasbourg. Thus, the programmes combine a concrete approach to the business world with quality theoretical education.
Thanks to this status, the EM Strasbourg Business School can offer a training programme identical to those offered by French ESCs (Graduate Schools of Management), in addition to awarding a number of State diplomas (professional and research Masters) as well as Executive MBAs, PhDs, university degrees, professional and bachelor degrees. This university association is crucial in an international context of the European harmonisation of diplomas following the LMD reform.
Teacher-researchers are posted to two research laboratories attached to the EM Strasbourg Business School:
CESAG and
LARGE, thereby participating in the development of knowledge in management sciences by conducting fundamental research which constitutes the foundation of the new education provided within the School.
Specific equipment and infrastructures are available to the students:
library, doctoral school, trading floor, observatories, language laboratories and access to
academic sporting activities.
The Business School benefits from quality faculty staff providing solid academic education to all students and with tuition fees among the lowest of all French business schools.
