Work placements are an integral part of the syllabus. Students must complete three work placements during their degree course, one of which must take place outside of France or form a part of an international assignment.

> stage "First experience" work placement (first year): Discover how a company actually works and its management methods. The student participates in the activities of a specific department to gain first-hand experience of a corporate function (accounting, sales, logistics, etc.).
> "Specialisation" work placement (second year): Complement the technical knowledge acquired in the student’s chosen specialty. Work placement involving responsibilities defined by an assignment with targets to be achieved.
> "Vocational integration" work placement (end of the curriculum): Gain initial work experience. A well-defined junior management assignment is entrusted to the student.
> Optional long-term "Company gap year": With a view to facilitating the vocational integration of students and improving their training, students can take a gap year after completing one year’s studies at EM Strasbourg Business School and that can be followed by one year hands on at a company.
