An international business school
184 exchange agreements in 59 countries make our business school one of the top European management institutions from an international perspective and provide our students with the opportunity to attend the world's most prestigious universities for one year. In addition, the European network of the HERMES dual degree initiated by our business school in 1997 with its sixteen high-profile partners. The school is also developing and constantly expanding its MBA network with its US partners as well as other dual degree agreements in Brazil, Colombia, India, Spain, Mexico, the UK or Sweden.
There is great cultural diversity in the Business School, as more than one in three of its students are exchange students, coming to Strasbourg for one year as part of their studies. Twenty faculty from partner universities are also involved in lectures, research and seminars. Visiting students of all nationalities, foreign visiting professors, study periods abroad, work placements abroad, international conferences etc. For the EM Strasbourg Business School, globalisation is a daily reality at the heart of student life!
A unique model conforming with international standards
On 1st January 2009, the EM Strasbourg Business School officially became the Business School of the University of Strasbourg, France's largest university as a result of the merger between the March Bloch, Louis Pasteur and Robert Schuman universities.
EM Strasbourg Business School is the only French Business School to be part of a multidisciplinary academic centre of excellence: the University of Strasbourg. This model, inspired by international references, enables the combination of academic benefits and university support while relying on solid partners from the public sector, local authorities, E.M.Strasbourg-Partenaires (involving 170 partner companies), and the network of its 15,000 alumni. Enjoying extensive autonomy with regard to its development policy, located within a first-rate academic environment and benefiting from an EPAS accreditation for its Programme Grande Ecole, EM Strasbourg Business School will facilitate your development in a globalised world and teach you new forms of managerial behaviour.
Thanks to this status, the EM Strasbourg Business School can offer a training programme identical to those offered by French ESCs (Graduate Schools of Management), in addition to awarding a number of University programmes (professional and research Masters in management) as well as Executive MBAs, PhDs, university degrees, professional and bachelor degrees. This university association is crucial in an international context of the European harmonisation of diplomas following the LMD reform.
Core faculty members are welcomed within two research centre attached to the EM Strasbourg Business School: HuManiS (EA 1347) and LARGE (EA2364), thereby participating in the development of knowledge in management sciences by conducting fundamental research which constitutes the foundation of the new education provided within the School.
Specific equipment and infrastructures are available to the students: library, doctoral school, trading floor, observatories, language resource center and access to academic sporting activities.
A school close to businesses
The EM Strasbourg Business School never forgets that its primary purpose is to provide businesses with the future staff and managers they need.
This training strategy adapted to business requirements is reflected in:
- the participation of nearly 500 professional speakers in lectures and the student selection process during competitive examinations
- the financial support of the Chambers of commerce and industry of the Alsace region, of E.M.Strasbourg-Partenaires and of all economic partners
- strong educational partnership with the companies involved in the Sustainable development Chair, Supply Chain Management Chair, I.T. and globalisation Chair, Sales and Business Management Chair, Diversity Management Chair.
- in-company work experience as the students must complete at least 3 work placements as part of their training, one of which must be abroad (Download the work experience brochure)
The partnership agreement between the EM Strasbourg Business School, the University of Strasbourg, , the Chambers of commerce and industry of the Alsace region and the E.M.Strasbourg-Partenaires Foundation, which involves over 170 major companies and regional and international associations, constitutes a genuine distinctive identity with a goal to develop the School.
Always focused on businesses, the EM Strasbourg Business School regularly creates and develops new initial or continuing degree courses with a view to meeting the needs of a constantly evolving world.
